hahah. omg drama is until 8-something for today and tmr but on thhhhursday and friday its a cinderella 11 D: im soooo tired... which explains why im bloggind? ;D anw for today this' kinda short cos my mum is nagging alr.. still, this is kinda an important issue.
[fasting]wow. fasting is harder than i thought! for someone like me who gets really hungry often and is easily tempted.. ESPECIALLY with
poonba's Magical Lunchbox (!) and all... but well with God's help ive made the most tiring days of this year without fainting(:

fasting is NOT dieting. this is soooo important and i dont know how people can even get this mixed up.
2. its NOT ramadan (malay/muslim) or some
anti-meat protest. for me, im going on a 12-hour LIQUID FAST. which means i wont be doing your bloody 40-day or 21-day fast (once again, im pissed. people who go
"what, you're only doing 12-hours?" im going to
punch your nose into your brains. TRY DOING IT FIRST THEN SAY THAT.)
the main purpose of fasting is
self-humbling. im not trying to reach nirvana (HAHA) but (to me) its sort of like saying "God, normally i'll be eating and i'll have enough energy to stay awake during math and have some left to annoy rachy. but today, im
deliberately going without food cos im gonna lean on YOUR stength instead of relying on myself."
yup, i guess that sums it up. no, im not that religeous. im just your average girl. but i think being a christian is more than going to church and lifting your hands, and ive decided to actively join my cg in spiritual warfare. yes, theres some...
disturbing. things going around lately that i dont wanna talk about (though you can ask joe-ahhy). i guess fasting is also a sort of spiritual blanket of protection for me... ahh. i shall stop before i preach a sermon to ya'll :D its just that, some people dont understand and treat it quite lightly. well, ItS NOT.
yep time to let this all sink in.

FABULOUS FIFTEEN!!hahah yes darlings its my birthday!! okay the main post it on Jjang, but

[BULLY - yvonne coppard]i was reading this book on bullying, its a thin book, like our lit 451 text. shortlisted for the 1991 Children's Book Award. i read is when i was in primary school and i didnt really get it then, but then yesterday when i was doing light reading and stuff, it really struck me in the heart. i dont know why but then suddenly now i understood it all so much better, and then i felt so depressed cos things so sad and unfair happened. i just cant stand it when this world behaves unfairly, which is almost always.
Kerry was a gymnast, when suddenly she had met with a tragic accident that permanently left her a handicap. the story takes a deeper twist when it showed the broken home of the bully, and how the perspectives changed to turn the tables on Kerry, the main character. yet after seeing Billy's home, she learns to grow stronger and finally has enough courage to stand up to the real bully, Wayne. when she beat him up in the end i couldnt stop clapping and grinning :D yet, when i saw Billy's home i felt like crying too. its like theres something just so.. vulnerable and sad even behind the bully. like someone i actually know.
-the room was cramped and stuffy, and not ery clean. In a big armchair sat a thin old lady, in a pright pink dressing gown which made her sunken cheeks even more withered. She smiled at Kerry. it was a sweet smile, not at all the kind of smile Kerry would expect from anyone connected with the Taggart family --"mum!" Billy's voice was almost a squeak--Billy shook his head. 'i cant leave her."--she was sitting next to a thug, a bully who had made her life miserable. yet he had made a garden for his mother. she looked at his coarse, broken-nailed hands as they fidgeted on his knees, and picutred then handling seedlings, watering living plants, nurturing, feeding, protecting, and coaxing small fragile things to gorw tall and strong. none of it made sense."your mothers very ill, isnt she?""yes.""is she going to die, billy?""probably. she's booked into a sort of nursing home next week. i dont think she'll come out again."--"he couldnt give a toss about any of us, and my mum had to do everything. she's never had a holiday in her life, nor even a new dress that hadnt already been worn by some snooty do-gooder. when they found out she had cancer, she was in hospital for ages. no one visited her, except me. they told my old man, and he didnt even apply for a special visit or send a card. she expected him to come, every single day. she's given up now, though she just sits there, not asking for anything."when i read that part i really felt like crying ): this world sucks so bad now! -depresssed- guess im just easily emotional now? ahh.
