ANYWAY, last night for me was-
TRANSFORMERS 2!!!ohh yeah. it was EXPLOSIVE... but not mind-blowing. kind of makes you wanna sleep in the middle-after one too many shootout scenes, its like a "WHAT WAS HE THINKING??!"-moment.
its like. he's pushing it. not really, cos the plot is too complicated and there's too many themes - GOVT CONSPIRACY!! + alien wars + romance + this random bit where he tried to be all spiritual and honour-earning and stuff. there's just too much going on! [OH SHIT. MORE SPOILERS COMING. DONT READ IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO WATCH!(: ]
firstly. SHIA IS DAMN UGLY. im sorry. but there you have it, i said it:D what's megan fox doing with him!? even if she was once a man. even men-trannies have better taste.
then. TOO MESSY! O: really. michael bay does a great job with all his effects and stuff, but you get a feel that he's getting carried away. sadface for him. there's just too much explosions such that you feel he's trying too hard.
but then... it has some redeeming qualities. like
one. JOSH DUHAMEL! who is sooooo very hot and sexy, as the alternate but minor hero. he's the captain of the elite NEST squad and pretty much the
darling patriotic american solider every propaganda office wants you to fantasize about creates time after time. but its still working here:D
two. this cool old' robot - jetfire. [read?] the typical bad-turns-good fella that's essential for every blockbuster. sigh.

three. THE ANIMATION. is mind.-blowing. yes. this is what really has me raving about... IT IS INSANELY GOOD!! even compared to star trek... O: in Tr2, you can see EVERYTHING. there was this scene in the gulf where optimus prime was fighting the decepticon lord- and it was SO clear. you could see the scratches on the metal, the sand, hell-even the textures of the cracks on the stone pillars! OMG. yeah. its there. most animators would have slacked off with detailing and just cover the scene with dust storms. but in Tr2... whoa. (((:okay, im done raving about Tr2 now! :D hehehe. that's pretty much my whole post. more about other stuff later... (((:
